Announcing our 2024-2025 season

The French Theater Project is delighted to announce our program for the 2024-2025 season! Our inaugural production last April was a big success, so we're moving ahead with two more productions this season: La Femme à qui rien n’arrive on November 8-10, 2024; and Contre-temps on May 9-11, 2025. Both shows will again be staged at Huntington Theatre in Boston and performed in French by the original professional cast, on tour from France. We’ll be projecting captions in English and French so our shows can be accessible to all.

Comedy of the absurd inside a
crazy metaphysical thriller

Our season kicks off on November 8th with La Femme à qui rien n’arrive, written and performed by Léonore Chaix. The title character has but one goal: to accomplish her irreducible daily tasks at a pace robotically dictated by “the Machine”. Taken in by an online advertisement, the Woman to Whom Nothing Happens is confronted by what she most dreads: that a thing should happen to her.  A modern, zany fairy tale, La Femme à qui rien n'arrive will make your hair stand on end.

The musical biopic of a pioneering

French composer come to America

Our season continues on May 9th with Contre-temps by Samuel Sené, Eric Chantelauze and Raphaël Bancou. How did a French operetta conductor end up in New York City with the hope of becoming a Broadway composer? This is the sensational story of François Courdot (1919-1968), to this day unrecognized by the general public, and yet a major artist whose works were unique and whose life was unpredictable. It is a euphoric and lavishly illustrated dive into the history of 20th century operetta and musicals.

Mark your calendars now, à bientôt au théâtre !
